Screenshots- You can post screenshot of that patch you are going to release so people can know whether to download it or not. It will prevent large amout of images in single post. To animate image you can use Jasc Animation shop

Taking Screenshots & Videos- Although you can take screenshots by pressing Print Scr. from keyboard but if you are too lazy to do this, you can use Fraps. It can take images as well as videos.
