Top 10 Allrounder Rankings [Both Tests and ODI]

he has been up there since Jan-Feb, after the SL-Zim tri series =D

Cricket badly needs some decent all-rounders. Seeing as Flintoff, Oram and Pathan are all struggling with at least one aspect of their game, Kallis is the only genuine Test allrounder.

Well you can write of Oram because I don't ever see him being a good all-rounder again. His bowling has gone to ****. But yeah your right, cricket in general needs some better all-rounders. These rankings are a joke though.

its a joke when we top it. specially Pakistan and Bangladesh. i bet you guys wouldnt have said that, if it was some other player from AUS, NZ, ENG or even RSA

jokers!

Well, it is a joke when Pakistan tops it, as they barely play. Although that isn't their fault, so that's open to debate.

Shakib deserves to be number 1, but people won't accept it till he performs at the same level against the likes of India, Australia, South Africa and maybe even England.

Pathan and Oram aren't World-Class test allrounders one bit, might slip in for ODIs. Yuvi and Bhajji aren't allrounders by any extent of the imagination, just players who have one aspect of their game that can prove useful to go along with their main skill. Vaas hasn't played in ages, and Gayle is another one who barely qualifies as an allrounder. Johnson, I guess, can be counted as one.

So yea, the ratings don't seem very accurate, but probably the lack of real allrounders is the issue, and not the ratings system.

Oram was actually. A couple of years back he averaged 41 with the bat and 29 with the ball. That's a pretty good test all-rounder if you ask me. Irfan Pathan on the other hand has never been a test class all-rounder.

When was the last time Irfan Pathan played a Test?

Oram was a while back, yes, but as of now he is no-where near. Pathan had the potential to be great, but just as we were realising it he faltered away...
