I've been really impressed by the UAE bowling attack today, a good mix of bowlers all striking and a bunch of close chances.

Certainly looking forward to their other warm-up match against Afghanistan, will be very close based on this form.

Nope, but the Ireland match might be close, and obviously their best chance for a pool match win will be against India.

Woooooo!! First 100 in World Cup Cricket from Shaiman Anwar! What a fun little innings, this is going to test Ireland if the UAE can keep it together in the field. Their bowlers just have to show up now. Great finish to this innings!

amazing match. one of the best games of the tournament just a crying shame nobody in Brisbane could be bothered to turn up. serve them right if every other game was taken off them...

SpitfiresKent and Max Walker thanked this.

I'd agree it's crap, but it was 5,200, which would have filled/nearly filled some of the NZ grounds. It just looks worse in a larger stadium.

If only Australia wasn't so massive and I could have a quick trip up there to have seen it.

There's loads of grounds in Brisbane that could've been played at that wasn't the GABBA. That being said, UAE should have taken that game home. But what a game!

Think it came down to one side with a lot more experience of winning than the other, and holding it's nerve.

It's actually what gives Ireland an edge when playing sides like WI, Ban, Zim - Ireland are used to winning more often than they lose.
