For some reason, Soundrec32 doesn't want to work anymore, so I'm looking for a simple program that lets you raise/lower the volumes of WAV files, speed up or speed down and insert or mix with other files. Freeware only, cheers!

I believe Audacity works quite well.

I've tried that, it is far too complicated. I just want something similar to Soundrec32, or can someone post a link to Soundrec32, so I can get a different copy, maybe this one's become corrupted somehow.

I'm still having problems. What's happening is I want Soundrec32 to be used when opening WAV files, so I click on 'open with' and then browse to Soundrec32. But Soundrec32 isn't appearing in the list of programmes I can use. Do you have any idea why this is happening?

I tried editing WAV files with Audacity, but it didn't work. All I want to do is reduce/increase volume and mix/insert different files together like you can with Soundrec32.

Edit: I d/l Audacity again and it works now. Strange...
All I need to know now is how to insert/mix different files together. Also, is it possible to delete after/before a certain position, like with Soundrec32?

Also, do you know if I could edit Cricket 07's sounds with this?
