Having the first test after months of lockdown get delayed due to rain is peak English Cricket.

What a shame!!! A real shame to have rains delaying the very first match after months of lockdown. I just keep thinking on the fact that when will Cricket actually have facilities to sustain the rainfall ?

Needs to be looked at as a long-term solution. Maybe have some sort of structure that wouldn't require building new rooftop stadiums?

West Indies with first blood. A review early on that was umpire's call also. A couple close leaves, and, IIRC, one or two edges that didn't carry. But also some confident shots from the English.

Let's hope that tomorrow brings as close to a full day's play as possible.

I hope that they are actually showing it here in the Caribbean (I forgot to check this morning). West Indies Cricket has kept an excellent YouTube page, their choice of broadcasters in the Caribbean is...less impressive. Nonexistent at times.

I would be annoyed at the artificial crowd noise too.

I thought it was bad enough in football but at least there you have the crowd noise being contextual. Hearing no reaction but just the usual ambience to the wicket and boundaries made me just laugh.
