World First Class League is a FC tournament where 8 teams from different countries will participate. The domestic teams which have won their FC class competition for maximum number times will be participating here.

Teams:
1. New South Wales - Won Australian FC competition for 46 times.
2. Bombay - Won Indian FC competition for 40 times.
3. Transvaal - Won South African FC competition for 32 times.
4. Yorkshire - Won England FC competition for 31 times.
5. Sinhalese Sports Club - Won Srilankan FC competition for 27 times
6. Wellington - Won New Zealand FC competition for 22 times.
7. Barbados - Won West Indies FC competition for 21 times.
8. Karachi - Won Pakistan FC competition for 18 times.

Drafts will be used for player selection. You can pick players from any country.
The only criteria is the player must have played at least 40 test matches.

Player Ratings:

Player ratings depends on Average of their real life test match and FC batting and bowling averages. (.01 to .50 will be rounded to lowest number and .51 to .99 will be rounded to highest number). As the ratings are known upfront there is no question of a player being rated poorly.

For example:
The batting rating of kallis will be 54.
The bowling rating of Kallis will be 32.

Kallis Test Batting average is 55.37 which will be rounded to 55.
Kallis FC batting average is 54.10 which will be rounded to 54
Kallis Batting rating - (55+54)/2 = 54.5 which will be rounded to 54.

Kallis Test Bowling average is 32.65 which will be rounded to 33.
Kallis FC Bowling average is 31.69 which will be rounded to 32.
Kallis Bowling rating - (33+32)/2=32.5 which will be rounded to 32.

Squad:
Each team will consist of 15 players.
Each team needs to pick one star player from their club before starting the drafts.

Preference: Team 1, Team 2, Team 3

Just to make it clear, can the retired, even dead players who represented the clubs be picked?

Ya it can be anyone.
The only criteria is the player must have played at least 50 test matches.

I believe this criteria defeats the purpose of having domestic champion teams. IMO a team should be made to field most of their players who had represented the club in the past. I understand not many would have played 50 test matches from the same club but for that you can reduce the limit to say 20 test matches. After all, this is supposed to be a First Class Cricket based league not a Test Match league.

Ya but the problem is it will create imbalance.

This league is based on stats. But if we don't have any criteria there is a high chance that some players will be over rated.
For example Sridharan Sriram's batting average is 53 but thats on flat indian tracks.

So to have the balance we have the 50 test match criteria.
New South Wales and Barbados are strong teams but I thought we should equal opportunities to all the teams.

Probably we can ask each team to pick one star player from their club before starting the drafts.

Obviously there is a huge difference between level of FC matches and Test Match Cricket. So, I personally do not think there should be a problem rating a batsman averaging 45 in FC matches in NZ over a man averaging 20 in Test and 45 in FC in India or Pakistan looking at the pitches. There really needs to be a meaning when you have club based teams and call it an 'FC' league. I can easily take up Barbados or even Jamaica (not listed) for that matter and thrash every other team including NSW if I am allowed to get as many foreign players as I can, that is my concern as well. However, if it is too complicated for you, go ahead. BTW, I am taking Barbados in any case. I know very little about other teams.

I understand what you are saying. But the USP of this league is rating based on real life averages.
So its necessary to have some criteria to eliminate poor players.

NSW or Barbados even Bombay can thrash smaller teams like Wellington or Sinhalese Sports club if we don't allow foreign players.
Then the league will become too one sided.
