Murali has done something not many spinners could do. Not even Warne that is to reduce a Indian batting line up ripping the top order to shreds. He also was the first wrist-spinning offbreak bowler. Just like Jonty Rhodes changed fielding and the approach to it Murali played his part in changing the game and starting a new type of spin bowler where others followed. Only batsman to really have no problems was Lara. But then again Lara had no problem playing any bowler really.

The best part I like about him is you will always see that friendly smile. Even when taking a wicket you will not see him taunt or slander at a batsman or anything like that. Very entertaining when he is batting as well.

Um no. Spin is an accessory after the act of flight.

Flight disguises the ball?s length, draws the batsman forward when he suppose to play back, sends him playing back when he is suppose to come forward, and generally keeps him in a confused state of mind.

Any batsman can play a spinner that can spin a ball on glass but do not have that "loop" aka flight. Ball have to bounce first to spin and a guy walsing down the track will smash you around the whole day.

But use flight and you will be able to hide your deliveries confusing him.
