Very encouraging 2 performances from Zimbabwe. I hope it's not just a warm up thing, and some of the lower ranked nations win a few proper games and make the quarters. (Not against England though) For too long, cricket world cups have been about just 8 cricketing nations. Would be lovely to see it expand.

What a win! :cheers

Zimbabwe have a very strong and deep batting line up, but it's their bowling that worries me the most. Both Panyangara & Chatara have been expensive.

Masakadza! :mad

Edit: This is fantastic Cricket by Zim, though. A big wicket has been down but they still pushing to get runs aggressively.

Yes, Kettle borrower had an absolute stinker. 3 no balls missed and Irfan bowling more than 2 bouncers an over.

I don't even think Pakistan played that well, their bowlers did OK but Zimbabwe in all truth threw that game away, really tough watching their batting collapse.

Pretty unfortunate, you guys seem to be the team this tournament that can't close the date. Whether it's in the last 10 overs with the ball or bat, it all seems to fall apart when you don't need it. Pressure?

And a lack of experiencing these kind of pressure situations, bottom line is ZIM need more cricket.

They need more cricket but perhaps they need to play lesser sides more as well as just the bigger sides. Play in the better sides helps raise your level, but equally you need experience of winning and closing out games.

I make Ireland favourites over Zimbabwe for the same reason I fancied them to beat West Indies: in a tight match Ireland know how to win and have done it regularly; Zimbabwe. & Windies much less so. Ireland would have won that game against Pakistan from the same position.
