Looks like Gill threw away his wicket as usual and Rahul managed to do the same.

Hilariously inept cricket from us so far. At least we have my favourite partnership at the crease to look forward to now.

120 all out incoming.
With KLR captain we can forget WTC final. Aus will run through us at home. How in the world this guy can captain indian side after shambolic RSA tour.

Looking at the turns taijul getting, this game may not last more than 10 sessions

Can Bangers Negotiate Kookaburra ball? Its Debut for them 'cause their Multi day Domestic they not play ever with Kookaburra.

I would like 3 seamer & 2 spinner

Kuldey & Saurabh might not in XL till next Dhaka (2) test. Chattogram track such road track, less then 1 hour toss time than by 9 am bowlers Carnage will starts. Taskin rested, Shakib too not sure to play.

Rahul was well set, why he played such poor shot?

Looking at the turn that is on offer right on the first day, I think Bangladesh would be wary of the fact that they have to bat last on this pitch against three frontline Indian spinners.

Ebadot dropped the advantage for Bangladesh right there. With the tricky hour on, and all specialists batsmen barring Pujara back in the hut, India would have been on the backfoot despite the slight batting prowess of Ashwin and Axar.

Its Iyer's day today. First a dropped catch and now a clean bowled where the bails did not get dislodged. Can he ride his luck like Ishan Kishan did the other day?

Well, not much luck for Pujara. HUGE breakthrough for Bangladesh. If they can get one more before the close of play, their confidence will skyrocket.

I feel the toss win for India will be playing a crucial role and that they have slight advantage despite losing 6 wickets and this could be the thing for next match as well (toss being crucial).

Nice bit of a recovery there after being 48-3. Gutted to see Pujara miss a deserved century. Iyer looking good at the other end. Bangladesh did pull things back with the two wickets in the last half hour but I think anything over 300 should be challenging.

I also do not foresee Iyer getting his century. I see us getting dismissed for around 300-ish.

Looking at the highlights, great batting by Puji, Pant and Iyer. They really have been our backbone in tests. Gutted to see Gill throwing his wicket yet again. He is a really good batsman in this format and I know he will be out of the XI once Rohit is back. I think with the turn on offer and Axar, Kuldeep and Ash in the side, I feel 350 ish will be a good first inning total. Glad to have test cricket back even if it is any team playing.

Not that it matters but Cheteshwar Pujara now the vice-captain when Pant has been sensational in the Test format and was the VC last match he scored a 100. This makes no sense but so does Indian Cricket now a days. I have so much to say but I would hate to waste my time right now. Probably will put together my thoughts when I have nothing productive to do.

Pujara deserved leadership long back, and it's ironic that he is getting it now when nobody expected it. He and Ashwin are worthy of leading the test side. Pant can wait!

What bothers me is not Pujara getting the leadership, what bothers me is the typical short vision we have. Pujara was out of the team just 2 series ago, remember? I am not against it, it just baffles me that our selection, our vision is so short sighted and us as fans are doing nothing about it. Now I am not telling like old days to burn players house, but we deserve better with the talent we have, fans need to raise their voice and hurt BCCI with money where it matters.
