which team do u think has the most chances of beating australia?
Be frank and do not just post the name of ur own team

Well I don't think anyone can beat them in a series- in any one off Test, England

last time thy lost a series was in 2001 against , guess who -- INDIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I still do feel that India at home have the bst possible chance of beating AUS in a series .
Eventhough India were not at their best last year at home , they still managed to give them a tough fight
Ya , they were thrashed in tests 1 and 3 but who knows what wud have happened if rain did not interrupt the Chennai test , 2-2 might have ben the scoreline
The last time Australia lost a meaningful test (other than dead rubbers) was against India at Adelaide and nearly lost the series at Sydney !!

England have not beaten them for quite a few years now but at the moment they do seem to be the best bet to beat the aussies but I doubt they would !
In fact England have not beaten India in a test series since 1996 !!
Any comments on that

Yeah, all they have to do is play every game at Mumbai :p

Yup, they'd play better on a bad pitch than Australia would and would win. And after each successive test Ponting would begin to whine even more. He may even be dropped seeing that he is a non-factor in India.

Yeah, all they have to do is play every game at Mumbai

Ya , the mumbai pitch was a shocker this time but u wud expect a team who pride themselves to be Champions who can win under any conditions to chase 100 odd runs .
2 Indian men named Laxman and Tendulkar played some delightful strokes the same morning ! ;) :clap

The Mumbai pitch is one of th best in India but it was definitely a shocker this time .

**still waiting for an Aussie to contemplate the possibility of losing**

**growing old**

Realistically I can only see Aus losing to a sub-continent team on a dust bowl where they can be spun out. That said they've just come off the back of two exceptional series victories so we may have to wait til next time.

You underestimate India quite a lot! Here are the stats. In the 2000's decade, India have won 4 matches and lost 5 matches against Australia. they are the only team to come close to levelling the wins and losses. All other teams were being smacked by Australia and I salute your team for that!! But do not underestimate the Indians.

India has made the highest score against Australia in an innings with 705 and India made consecutive scores of over 500 in that series Down Under! And of course, if not for Steve Waugh, India would have made history winning the series Down Under!

I'd say australian player who stood between an indian series win was bucknor.

Oh yeah, forgot that id**t.. He wantedly tries to bring down the Indians by giving them rubbish decisions!

thats a nice adverb saisrini...i think India can beat Aussies - provided Sachin and Rahul are back to their best... and stop whining about Mumbai Brad - even your poor skipper has... Mumbai was not as awful as your swashbuckling batsmen (who feel they were born to hit every ball out of the park) made it look...ask the more dogged of your batsmen - Gillespie(yeah he should be considered one) and just one simple question how did Sachin and Laxman get to their 50's if that was such a minefield? and we asians talk of improving our batting against pace when we lose badly at Perth...so next time tell your batsmen to do the same for spin...

btw...England has a good chance too but like India they need too many people to fire at the same time...

the amount of whining and crying you hear when aussies lose is so pathetic it's laughable.

I am excited about England but as you said all the top players have to be in prime form to beat Australia.

Well, England as India is, has a chance. England and India are the teams that can withstand the Aussies and give them a tough run!!

India are meant to be the champions of playing spin bowling, the best in the world! Yet this 23 year old Left Arm Orthodox part timer called Michael Clarke took figures of 6/9, that's half of his first class wickets taken in one game! That had nothing to do with the dodgey pitch?
