ICC Announces Hunt For New Test Nation

Malcolm Speed announces how boring Zimbabwe is
The International Cricket Council has today announced that due to proverbial strugglers Zimbabwe and Bangladesh's, well, struggles, it has decided that the 9th and 10th spot in Test Cricket is now up for grabs. They have announced that following Bangladesh's comprehensive 5-0 victory over the Zimabweans, they will be introducing a 'promotion/demotion' style thing (I'm confused myself) where the bottom Test Nation at the end of every calendar year (starting end of 2007) will be demoted to the new ICC Cricket World League, which is a real thing that combines all of the best smaller cricketing nations and is used to determine World Cup qualifiers. The Top 2 Teams in this league every year will play off in a 3 Test Series with the 2 Bottom Test Nations for that spot in Test Cricket (1st v 10th, 2nd v 9th).
Malcolm Speed said the fans were bored of watching Zimbabwe's turmoil and wanted to see them beat someone, like Canada or something. This reporter is too lazy to actually quote him.
In other news, those nations compting in Division 1 of the World Cricket League, will search for International Talent, with new rules saying that if they can convince a player who has not represented his country in ODI or Test Cricket to commit to their country, they can qualify after only 6 months of residency, however they will not be allowed to swap.
Bermuda, Cricket's New Superpower, has announced for a call of players to sign up to help them get to the qualification zone and into Test Cricket. It has announced its first signing, who will captain the side, but it is still looking for a full 15 man squad to complement its current side.
