The PCB chairman Nasim Ashraf announced a new start for the Pakistan Cricket Board and the Cricket Team. They announced Shahid Afridi their new captain and a few players have been called back in the training camp.


"I have been honoured with the job of a captain and I will try to do my best to keep the team on top", says Afridi.

ICC announces ICC World Cup 2007 fixtures. Ireland,Pakistan and West Indies will be playing in the same group. Pakistan and West Indies kick off the World Cup with their first game in the Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica and 4 days later Pakistan will be playing Ireland again in Sabina Park. Pakistan have also announced their squad for the World Cup in Carribbean. The Pakistan Squad has been announced. Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammed Asif earn a recall after returning from injury.

Its really sad to see that Razaq is injured :( Sami also not in the starting 11, btw who is this Fawad Alam ?? i have never heard of him before . Cmon, Boom Boom :p
 
AFRIDI DESTROYS WINDIES.​

Chris Gayle and Devon Smith opened the innings for West Indies. Pakistan made a good start to their bowlin with Asif bowling a maiden first over and dropping a catch of Chris Gayle. Naved-Ul-Hassan gets a bowled in his second over. Chris Gayle goes cheaply for 3 off 18 balls. Chanderpaul comes in next. Chanderpaul good 3 boundaries in Naved-Ul-Hassan's 3rd over. Another blow for West Indies in the 10th over when Inzamam-Ul-Haq got the catch of Devon Smith off Naved-ul-Hassan's bowling. Smith scored 7 off 23 balls. The next man in was Brian Lara. The first power play comes to an end with West Indies 2 down for 37. Shoaib Akhtar replaces Mohammed Asif who bowled 5 overs, 9 runs and 2 maidens, and Shahid Afridi replaces Naved-Ul-Hasan who bowled 5 overs, 28 runs, 2 wickets and a maiden. Shahid Afridi gets his first wicket on the first bowl of his second over. Lara bowled by Afridi for 6 off 9 balls. Next man in is Sarwan. Sarwan gets off the mark on his first delivery with a four. Afridi strikes again in his 3rd over traps Sarwan infront of the stumps. Sarwan goes for 5 off 8 balls. Next man in is Bravo. 20 overs up and the second power play comes to an end with West Indies in deep trouble with a score of 71 for 4. Chanderpaul not out for 47 off 47 and Bravo not out for 3 off 15. Danish Kaneria replaces Shoaib Akhtar with bowling figures of 5 overs and 20 runs. And Mohammed Asif replaces Shahid Afridi whoz bowling figures are 5 overs 2 for 14. Mohammed Asif finishes his 10 overs with 0 wickets,20 runs and 4 maidens. 30 overs up. West Indies are 97 for 4. Chanderpaul gets his 50 off 70 balls,Great inning. Danish Kaneria traps Chanderpaul infront of the stumps in his 6th over. Chanderpaul goes for 59 off 79. Next man in is Smith. Shoaib Aktar replaces Mohammed Asif at the other end. Kaneria stikes once again and gets the wicket of Smith in his 8th over. Smith goes for 18 off 14. Next man in is Dinesh Ramdin. Kaneria strikes yet again and this time in his 9th over. Caught by Imran Nazir, Ramdin goes for 6 off 6. Next man in is Ian Bradshaw. Kaneria finishes off with 3 for 36 and Akhtar with 0 for 39. Afridi replaces Kaneria and Naved replaces Akthtar. Dwayne Bravo starts opening up and hits a six of a no ball by Naved-Ul-Hasan. Afridi strikes for the third time and this time its Dwayne Bravo. Gone for 35 off 83. next man in is Collymore. Naved-ul-Hasan stikes and gets the wicket of Ian Bradshaw, gone for 14 off 34. West Indies are 164 for 9 off 45 overs. Next man in is Jerome Taylor. And Afridi raps up the inning with another wicket to finish of with 9.1 overs,4 for 30. Taylor goes for 2 off 4.
