He wants to focus on ODI's and Twenty/20s. Big loss just before the England series.

Maybe had the selectors not treated him badly like they did with Astle, Fleming and Cairns he may have still been available.

He was dropped for Bangladesh, but it was thought he'd be selected for against England.

In today's Telegraph (I think) Scyld Berry just said he was their batsman who looked most competent to compete in the tests. I must say I found it funny after I'd heard.

anyway he wasn't doing well in tests?so they suppose to drop him if he didn't move away.i also heared that he wants to play 2011 world cup so for the reason of fitness he did this??

You don't rate one of New Zealand's bets players and someone who averages over 35 in tests and ODI's?

Sad to see him go, he would of been needed in the tests.

When you don't really like a player, most the time you underrate him.

To be fair, he was a solid player, I'm sure he'll be missed.
