Arsene Wenger the manager of the gunners decided to step down because of constant pressure from the board members .

Arsenal have not won a single title since the 2004-05 fa cup triumph!

Wenger Said that " The club has provided me glory and pride. But nothing is greater to me than my self esteem so i decide not to continue and decide to step down!"

Reports suggest that Steve mclearn could be in the running for the covted job of being the gunners manager

Steve Mclearen was appointed as the new gunners manager today and he was very happy to be back in the limelight.

Mclaren was sacked from the england national team manager slot after they did"nt qualify for the euro 2008.

Mclaren said that it was a big challenge for him and he relished the challenge of being the manager of such a great club.

He also said that he needed strikers and he pin-pointed robinho and said that he was a world class striker and he would be of great use in the gunners season

Pato has gone to Madrid? Beckham has gone to Bremen? Those are incredibly surprising transfers to see. Unfortunate for the Gunners that Robinho went to Man City but maybe it is for the best. Steve McLaren might not be the man for the job though. He might be, but I doubt it.

Good luck.

Arsenal Won their opening match of the barclays Premier League with a 2-1 win over the newly promoted Hull City

Arsenal scored with Robin Van persie and clichy before which hull"s M.king scored the opening goal in the 8th minute.

After a couple of minutes a Cesc Fabregas free Kick from 24 yds hit the post and returned only to find robin van persie who scored his first goal of the season.

after 27 minutes clichy doubled the arsenal"s lead with a corner from samir nasri.

Pretty Much was accepted from Samir Nasri in his debut but he dissapointed in his debut.

Good win for Arsenal. Would of been better to have a better win to kick start their new season but that will do. Not good to see Nasri diasppoint but I'm sure he will do better this season. Good luck.

eduardo celebrating his hat-trick

Eduardo celebrated his return for arsenal with a hat-trick.

The Croation who was injured also missed the euro.
Nasri and van persie also contributed with goals.
Goals from Strikers El-Hadji Diouf and Dijibril Cisse gave them hope as they were leading during half time.
Surprisingly Micheal Chopra was rested for this important match.

Eduardo opened the scoring in the 19th minute as he headed in a cross from fabregas.

But their euphoria was shortlived as fabregas was sent off in the 40th minute for a rash tackle on Diouf.

Cisse took the free-kick and scored the goal with the help of the crossbar
.
El Hadji Diouf capitalised on arsenal"s defensive woes to give sunderland the lead.

Then Steve Mclearn made a substitution in the break.
Walcot for Rosicky.

This changed the whole match.

He asisted Samir Nasri in the 47th to score his 2nd goal of the season and bring arsenal back on level terms.

Then his cross also found van persie in the box who bought back arsenal back into the lead
.
Then eduardo continued his masterclass with 2 goals in stoppage time to get his hat-trick.

Scorers:
Arsenal
Eduardo(19,90,90+1)
