KKD should only be played if required due to an injury. Otherwise our current line up is fine.

Sehwag was the missing piece in the current Indian batting lineup. With him at opener and Sharma in the middle order they improve both their top and middle order. But Sharma has done a good job at the top.

Promote Yusuf to the top.

And play KKD only when Dhoni is injured. Else play him in the game against SAF,he always pulls off some magic against them.

Well send KKD there was a useless decision he hasnt done well over past few yrs and still he is favoured by the selectors. The selectors should have given some new name a chance like they did with Ishant Sharma during the Aussie tour. I really felt Nayar should have been sent instead of KKD because Nayar has the ability of hitting ball huge while KKD wont do that often.

I don't think Sehwag would have been all that effective at the top, anyway, since he's suspect against the moving ball. Don't think our line-up should change at all, now, save for rotating our pace bowlers around to find the ideal combination for the conditions. Our batting is now settled for the rest of the tournament, apart from injury:

1. Gambhir
2. Rohit Sharma
3. Raina
4. Yuvraj
5. Dhoni
6. Yusuf
----
7. Irfan/PK
8. Harbhajan
9. Zaheer/RP
10. Ojha
11. Ishant

The batting looks a teensy bit weak but we just need our lower order to get a few hits, and Yusuf to catch some form.

KKD can actually smack it a long way. Nayar looked well out of form in this year's IPL, as well.

Thats a big blow ,he has that ability to change the course of the game, and he is a headache for bowlers if they dont get him out quickyly...Sad...So now mostly we might see Gambhir along with R Sharma in this tournament...

Sehwag going back home is not going to affect India at all. His form in the IPL was below average (but for that 1-2 innings at the fag end of the tournament). Also as sohum said (seems like I am agreeing with sohum a lot more today in many issues!), Sehwag is suspect against the moving ball big time and maybe he would have continued his bad form here in England.

So his absence wont hurt us. As scion_sid said, it eliminates the headache of whom to drop if he becomes fit and thats good.
