Story :: PC Style Champions Trophy :: 8 Teams 2 Cups To Be Won ::

ICC, today announced that instead of having Champions Trophy and ICC T20 World Championship as 2 different ICC events with Minnow's or associate nation teams not been able to compete well in ICC W20 Top 8 Team's will play together in Champions Trophy and Bangladesh Joining 9th team for the T20 World Championship. ICC also announced that Minnow's will have their separate tournament run like this which will be highly competitive and enjoyable to watch too.

Champions Trophy will be as usual 50 over competition where 8 top test playing nations will compete against each other in two groups. As soon as the Champions Trophy get's over they will start with the T20 World Championship where 9 teams will be divided into group of 3 and Top 2 from each group will qualify for the Super 6 Stage where each team plays the other teams once and top 4 Qualify for the semi-finals.

ESPN and STAR CRICKET once again bagged the right's for telecasting these ICC events and STAR SPORTS will show the Minnow's tournament.(I Will Just Post The Scorecard and Match Results For The Minnows)

This tournament will have 15 Champions Trophy Matches and 22 T20 World Championship matches.

This year's Champions Trophy is held at Newzealand and venues are yet to be decided.
