Indian coach Gary Kirsten has likened the country`s ODI captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni`s ability to extract the most out of his players to that of late Hansie Cronje, under whom the former South African opener had played in international cricket.

Kirsten felt Anil Kumble, the Bangalore stalwart who leads India in Tests commanded great respect from his team, but the swashbuckling wicketkeeper-batsman from Ranchi was more charismatic as he could get the best out of his team.

Hmm..Tired of these Statments..
I won't get surprise if tomorrow somebody say me Dhoni reminds him Sir Don Bradman..
People use to say anthing like Someone has compared Sachin with D karthik...

Only similarity between Sachin and Kartick is in height. :p

ian chappell felt rohit sharma could be the next tendulkar...
replacing him at test no.4 !! and this statement was made
after watching only a handful of sharma's strokes.........:rolleyes:

Ya Kartik People are so fast these days to judge the people..
If anybody winning for you couple of Matches then He satnd heroes..
And Sometime Cricketer like D Kartik who has not done anything special get comparision with Sachin...Craps..

There will be no Tendulkar born ever.

why do you guys argue with opinions?

if kirsten feels dhoni reminds him of cronje, its his opinion. if ian chappell feels rohit sharma could be the next sachin, its his opinion. they have the medium to voice out their opinions unlike us (we voice it out within PC,they do it in television, newspapers, magazines, etc).

Surely arguing opinions is the whole point of a forum. What'd be the point if everyone agreed about everything ?
Yes, but it's rather fruitless to argue against the opinion of someone who obviously won't be reading about it. :p

I hope Kirsten doesn't fall for the media trap. He needs to stay away from them and do a background job.

So far, he has been low key about his work. I like it. Its been good so far. The non-attention can do good for him.
