I don't think he likes it, I think its more of a case that he can't walk into a test to open if he has been batting middle order for his franchise. An option they may look at with kallis out is picking albie as the number 6 other options are the likes of rillee rossouw or playing kuhn as a batsman. Don't think they would go back to gibbs or mckenzie.

Hopefully kallis is fit for the first test and it doesn't matter.

Dissapointing total but it probably isn't the easiest pitch to bat on. All this rain would have helped the bowlers. Good knocks by peterson and Amla and good bowling by everyone except Adil Rashid, he really is useless.

I think Trott is well suited to this holding up an end role. With the team as it is at the moment, even Strauss scores relatively quickly, so someone to just get what's on offer is no bad thing.
