Press Release: re: JB de Bruyn PCNL Availability
JB de Bruyn will be available to play in the PCNL from midseason.
He is a batting all-rounder (not negotiable) who bowls left-arm fast-medium (slightly negotiable). He prefers to bat right-handed, but that too is negotiable.
He currently plays for Matabeleland Meerkats in the Mugabe League (having been made an 'honorary black' so as to fulfil the eligibility criteria, and in spite of his South African citizenship...)
He will have at least 3 points on his batting and at least 2 points on his bowling (not negotiable).
He will at all times have at least half as many points on his bowling as on his batting (not negotiable).
He will at all times have less points on his bowling than on his batting (not negotiable).
He is heavily involved in publicity, youth clinics etc. in Matabeleland (even if it is off-season). If he is not required for a given match, he may go back to Zimbabwe to carry on this very rewarding work (not negotiable).
If he is required to leave Zimbabwe other than to play a match, he will require 1000 vCash minimum to cover flights and related expenses (not negotiable).
He would like it known that he tends not to associate with criminals and corruption. He also is strongly averse to martial-arts posers, and playing (home games) or training in Antarctic conditions.
The Harare branch of the Primadonnas R Us management agency regrets the seemingly terse tone of this announcement. We hope you will appreciate that it is in everyone's interest to be proactive in setting the ground rules for negotiations.
While there are a number of conditions set down, they are far from extravagant ones. You will note that no up-front stipulation has been made with regard to:
- minimum matches played;
- remuneration; or
- luxury or celebrity treatment
Primadonnas R Us welcomes all bona fide PCNL franchise representatives to contact us for negotiations at this address.
Thank you.
