See, except us in the second game (which was called off) and the game vs Demons(remember these were 197 and 206 respectively, none other instance where a team defended a score.

In real life T20 the same thing is happening. West Indies elected to bowl first in all of their matches in the WT20, and lost only against Afghanistan.
