PEA is rumoured to be moving to Newcastle.

*with any luck.

Why would you want him though? He looks to be terribly out of form.

I don't know the answer to that, maybe? But I know we want to off load.

A new team, new manager and new way forward would be better for him and the new club will see a different PEA?

I believe you're talking to an Arsenal fan, so the enthusiasm for the move is quite understandable

Indeed, I think Chelsea have the same problem but we would need to find out the 'spirit' of the Lukaku attitude as I don't think Tuchel will tolerate a negative force. At least if he wants to move him on it will be quick but we have languished with this pariah for too long, oh yep. Ozil we also held on for too long.

I mean, given Saka and ESR have done outstanding since joining through the academy, I don't get why they don't move on and try and find their new long term striker in Eddie, or Balogun, or (dare I say it at 17) Patino. None of those work, and he's still available, then splash the cash on Vlahovic in the summer.

As for Chelsea... yeah Lukaku isn't super loyal. Showed it at Everton, showed it at Inter, so don't see why Chelsea fans are shocked now. But yeah, question is how much loss will Roman deem acceptable?

I honestly predict nothing significant will happen in the end. Too much money tied in the transfer and the player to cut loose. Lukaku is probably sitting somewhere with a shocked Pikachu face after this entire situation blew up in his face. You'd see such an outburst punished very differently and drastically 30-40 years but oh well, game's gone.

I'd go for Vlahovic with all might now if I were in Arteta's shoes. They missed out on a league title the last time they dallied on signing a striker, the margins for failure are also much lesser in the current football landscape.

I try to do away with speculation until it becomes more concrete, too may people really think we'll sign anyone but it never materialises. Now we have a press report stating Ferdinand state we should sign Isak? We are also linked with Vlahovic which is possibly more realistic. Saying that, If Saka and Smith-Rowe have literally come out of the blocks fast then maybe we should look more towards youth and sign younger players for the future as it seems to work.

Lukaku will get splinters in his arse as one thing we all learn is never open your mouth.

Is Arteta in Arteta's shoes? He is severely restricted by the financial constraints made on him and the wage structure. I think we should have dumped him off and then gone for Conte (I really rate him as a manager). Just feel Arteta does good until we hit a raw patch and find ourselves unable to redeem a situation, the striker incident is an example.

Heard so much about us signing Alexander Isak that he is now an Arsenal player, without actually signing anything?
