Just going through RR success over both the seasons.
While they had some nice overseas players, their domestic crux did them right during crunch situations.
Saini, Jadeja, Bawne, Dhruv,Sundar Rayudu, Jagadeeshan and Suryakumar.
Need myself to work on that.

RR never had a lot of big big names like your Kohlis, Roots, Williamsons etc, but that squad was arguably the best I've ever seen in any of my leagues, sheerly for its composition, balance and depth. Especially between the local players.

Served right with two IODC titles. Probably would've won CL too if they hadn't met the best side ever assembled on the forums in the final (Sydney Roosters).

You go and see the two time runner ups KKR and you will see while they had some superstars, they had a good local backbone to support.
Karthik, Samarth, Bhuvi, Shami, Mishra and Pujara.

Mega Auction

Start Date & Deadlines

- As per request from Till Valhalla, Mega Auction will start a couple of days after all Player Pools have been made public to allow members to strategize.
- Exact start date for the Mega Auction will be decided once all of the pre-auction preamble is completed.
- Each round/pool of players will automatically 'expire' 24 hours after it's begun - the leading bid(s) will automatically win. Let's hope we finish it quicker though.
- It is not mandatory to bid in any round, if you wish to pull out of a particular round, please say so. It will save us some time.
- If you wish to not increase any of your bids on one or multiple players and end your round, please say so, that will also save us some time.

General Rules

- Each franchise will have a Salary Purse of ₹100 crore (INR) to spend at the Mega Auction.
- Each of the existing franchises can retain up to four players from their previous squad before the Mega Auction.
- The two new franchises may sign up to four players from all released and unpicked players from last season before the Mega Auction.
- All teams will be deducted a set amount from their ₹100c Salary Purse for player retentions and signings. Which is:-
- You may also go into the Mega Auction with all ₹100c of your Salary Purse if you choose to not retain or sign any player.
- Bidding rounds will happen in Pools. Each Pool will consist of 10 players and any franchise can bet on up to 6 players from a single round.
- Bidding increments may happen in ₹10 lacs until a bid reaches ₹2 crore. ₹25 lacs until a bid reaches ₹5 crores and ₹50 lacs after a player's value exceeds ₹5 cores.
₹10 lacs is one decimal to a crore: ₹1.1 crore is an acceptable bid but ₹1.01 crore is not.
- You need to have a minimum of 18 players after the completion of the Mega Auction, a maximum of 7 of which can be overseas players.
- Since there will be injuries, a team can sign up to 5 reserve players with of them being an 1 overseas player. You don't have to, but you could if you wanted to.
Reserve players will be substituted into the main squad if someone goes down to injury.
- If you blow your budget and are unable to bid the base price of the lowest category player (₹20 lacs), your bid will be automatically rejected.

Base Prices for Players & Player Pools

- Capped player (Indian or foreign) - ₹1 crore
- Uncapped player (Indian or foreign) - ₹50 lacs
- Youth/U19 player (Indian or foreign) - ₹20 lacs

- Player Pools for the Mega Auction will be formed after retentions and new picks are complete.
- General player rules also applicable (no retired cricketers unless they play List-A or First Class cricket, and no T20-only cricketers).

Important Notes

- Deletion or alteration of bids will result in a ₹10 lac penalty for first offense, ₹50 lac penalty for second offense and ₹1 crore + ejection from that round for third offense.

Massive, massive shoutout to Nilay, Aislabie, Gaurav, Neptune and Till Valhalla for their invaluable input regarding the system used here. I hope I didn't forget anyone. _/\_

Just another suggestion if you are open to it, having a fixed period for the whole round might lead to sniping at last second maybe instead of that 12 hours since the last bid or others have backed out the player is sold.

We made CL finals? Wow!

We had a gun squad, the composition was great. We had proper players for proper pitch types and condtions. The two foreign openers, the two foreign strike bowlers, the Indian core then were all fab.

Rajasthan Royals are pleased to inform the retention of 3 players in all. We have decided to retain our rockstar skipper Ravindra Jadeja as player 1, the strike bowlers Shaheen Afridi & Kagiso Rabada as player 2 and player 3 respectively. With that we are left with an auction purse of Rs. 61 cr.

We are also pleased to share that our season 1 winning captain and season 2 winning mentor, MS Dhoni will continue with us as the mentor and guide. We are hopeful to have a balanced squad this season too after the auctions and try and defend our title once again.

We also would like to welcome the 2 new teams in Gujarat Titans & Lucknow Super Giants to the IODC. We look forward to the mega auctions and wish all the participating teams and owners a very good luck!

We would like to extend our vote of thanks to the league owner, @Na Maloom Afraad who has given us 2 riveting seasons of fine cricket in this league and hope the third one is as good and exciting!

@Life Warrior & @Gaurav_7
Owners,
Rajasthan Royals.
