I’m taking the cowardly way out and going to wait for a sale before I buy the game. I’m happy getting my tennis kicks from Full Ace and the progression of Tiebreak for now, but that may change.

I was going to wait till the standard edition is cheaper, but when I balance that against pre-ordering it and getting the Under the Lights pack with the night-time majors, which I would bought anyway, I'm probably not paying much more if I pre-order. That's what I'm trying to justify to myself.

I like it, but I’m only a casual player. I like PGA Tour 2k23 as well. This has more official courses than 2k23, with new ones being added periodically, but 2k23 has a course designer. Agreed, and I can't see ever paying $120 for a game (the cost of the Grand Slam edition).

The play is certainly smoother than AO. Also, the players don't make stupid gestures to the crowd when the make a good shot. At least I haven't seen any so far. That drove me crazy in AO. I haven't got the hang of the LT and RT triggers on the serve yet, but I will. So far so good.

In case anyone doesn't know, the early access version is now on Steam. $29,99 I'm downloading now.
