I've not no issue with the bowlers and the likes of Rew/McCann/Davies etc but the likes of Flintoff and Shaikh should be getting experience of Aussie conditions by playing grade cricket for a season, not getting walloped by a bunch of Aussie state fringe players on a representative tour.
That's a seriously uninspiring batting lineup. I like the inclusion of Freddie McCann but I'd have liked to have seen someone like Emilio Gay or Tom Haines as another top 3 option, probably at the expense of Flintoff, as that's where England are really in need.
Specifically in relation to the bowling, there was an interesting online article I read last week ( i can't remember where unfortunately) which essentially outlined that (shock horror) the attribute based selection policy is dictated by the positioning of the County Championship at the...
I've got a prediction for him, C26 will be a half arsed mess, released too early, reliant on beta testers who have been stupid enough to pre order the game and abandoned when BA refocus their attention on the next iteration of Aussie Rules/Tennis/Rugby/Lacrosse/Hurling/Tiddlywinks/Arm...
I've been batting in a retro test match on my saved sliders and it's really felt more of a challenge than any game of 24 I've had on default sliders. If I get the time and can get my teenager off the PS5 I might try and mirror those sliders as best I can on 24 to see if that adds a bit more...
It's so weird the academy is still seriously borked imho.
What I did was download all Wastes C22 bats independently then download Wastes county teams separately. The bats were grand and applied correctly to the players.
Maybe If you have the bat in your bat manager the game will allocate it...
Has anyone done a career with an existing player? If so, is it just the same as a normal career but skipping the club nonsense?
I'm thinking of doing a redemption arc type career for someone released by the counties this winter.
I've had to retrain myself to naturally play back to spin unless it's really full. That helps avoid this but yeah it's an obvious bug, irrespective of whether you're playing the shot early or late the game should respond to the direction you push the sticks.
Having the difference between lofted and ground shots be an aggressive flick vs a soft flick doesn't seem like the best option IMHO.
Chip shot notwithstanding, Option 3 to me looks the most intuitive but I don't mind the controls as they are.
It's a shame so little love has been be shown towards career mode, it's always been my go to mode in BA games but after so many iterations the lack of progression in it just feels lazy.
All about those sweet sweet licenses now.
