Game is too slow!! - My players are snails

I just got cricket 2002 and i'm running it on a PIII 500mhz, 228mb RAM and a Geforce 256 DDR. I've set my graphics even lower with minimum detail and still the game is too slow, what could be the problem? To top that off, everytime i exit a game and return to the menu, the menu doesn't display...

Baz's Solution for XP does work - it will still require work.

Ok i have all the files downloaded for windows xp, the game runs on a full installation, but when i run on minimum installation it exits at the main menu, what is this moving files into different directories that Baz is talking about? Edited By PJ Martins on June 02 2002 at 18:47

Is there any way that I can change the resolution from 640 x 480 in which it currently runs the game?

    Team editor - help me...

this problem might be occuring because of new sound files you have created. Check to see that none of your sound files have spaces in them. e.g "S Tendulkar.wav" rather change them to "S_Tendulkar.wav". Hope this helps.

BLC commentary - My commentary's gone beserck!!!

Check all your sound files and make sure that none of them have spaces in them. e.g "glen mcgrath.wav". Rather change them to something like "glen_mcgrath.wav". The game can't use sound files with spaces.
