Shaheen Afridi starred with the ball - picking-up 6 wickets for 55 runs in 9.0 overs. His opening spell dented Mumbai Indians and they could never really recover from that.
Kieron Pollard and Ross Taylor launched an effort to rejuvenate the innings nonetheless, but their efforts of a 104-run stand could only do so much to push their team's total.
Mumbai Indians' lower-order had no response to Shaheen Afridi and Co. either with Aditya Tare's 62-ball 42 not out being the only noteworthy innings in an extended tail.

Quetta Gladiators will be feeling disappointed. They came second in Haier Cup Pakistan by the barest of margins, and now they lose two playoffs on the trot and crash out.

After that, they never really recovered. Imam-Ul-Haq and Haris Sohail played knocks the likes of which would make Misbah-Ul-Haq and Younus Khan proud, but all in vain.

Wohoooo!!! After going through 2 tournaments in which we fall short at the end, we have finally made it through to the Final. Also, this is the first tournament where we only made forced changes. Says a lot about how backing the players do wonders to a side. And on the back of whose performance? Ross Taylor who is playing his last tournament. Tbh his absence in IODC's next season is really going to hurt us. Last but not the least, we live one more day into this tournament after having a couple of disaster of a games!! In case don't win the Final we would still try to make sure we give our best.
