After much deliberation, I've decided to include the WCC Club World Cup as an official event run by @World Cricket Conference, so nations can now bid on hosting rights for it without having to worry about running the tournament. With the 2001 and 2002 WCC Club World Cup, and the 2002 WCC Knockout Trophy events available, WCC is taking hosting bids from teams.

Here are the rules for submitting hosting bids previously established:
FTP Cycle

Any nation can make a bid to host an event in the ongoing 1999-2003 FTP Cycle given they fulfill the eligibility criteria; which is listed on respective tournament pages.
A nation may not host more than one Global Event in a 4-year FTP cycle - co-hosting a tournament is allowed but the bid must be approved by the WCC first.

Phase I - Bidding

In a little over 48 hours, the World Cricket Conference will start accepting bids for Global Events in the 1999-2003 FTP cycle. Until then, nations can prepare their bids.

- Nations can make solo bids as well as co-hosting bids; however the latter will require approval from the WCC before they can be considered official.
- Each nation is required to fill the eligibility criteria mentioned on respective tournament info-pages - particularly ones pertaining to the number of venues required.
- Each nation may only bid on one WCC event in a four-year FTP cycle - bidding does not equate to automatically winning so be vary of which tourney you bid for.
- Once all bids have been received by the World Cricket Conference - we will move onto Phase II of the tournament bidding process which will involve voting.

Phase II - Voting

- Once all bids have been approved by the World Cricket Conference; there will be separate voting events held for each tournament to determine the winning bid.
- In case of a tied vote - the World Cricket Conference will retain the right to select whichever bid they deem better without providing any explanation or reason.

Nations League

- The top-four ranked teams in WCC Test Rankings are awarded group hosting rights; the bidding during this process for the Nations League is for the finals only.
- Nations awarded groups are eligible to bid for other WCC tournaments as well as finals for a particular Nations League where they play hosts during the group stage.

Bid Submission

- All bids must be submitted privately - please do not publicize bids until they've been approved by the World Cricket Conference; even if they include multiple nations.
- You can not include venues that have not been accredited by the World Cricket Conference for any of your tournament hosting bids; they will be deemed invalid.
- Members are allowed to add more venues upon winning a bid but they can not use non-existing stadia in their bid proposal to the World Cricket Conference.

TOURNAMENT: 2003 WCC CRICKET WORLD CUP

Bid: England-Ireland
Venues: Laytown (poor), Cork (excellent), Malahide (normal), Lord's (normal), Old Trafford (poor), The Oval (poor)
Final: Lord's (normal)

Few additional rules:-

- You have 48 hours from this post to submit a hosting bid for the 2001 WCC Club World Cup, 2002 WCC Club World Cup and 2002 WCC Knockout Trophy.
- All nations except the ones that already hosted, or are slotted to host an upcoming tournament in the 1999-2003 FTP Cycle are eligible to submit a bid.
- Nations without domestic cricket can not bid to host a WCC Club World Cup event; they may bid on the only other option available, the Knockout Trophy.

VOTING

The World Cricket Conference has convened this conference to vote on the host nation for the 2001 WCC CLUB WORLD CUP.

- Bidding nations are allowed to vote for themselves; it'd be surprising if they didn't
- Bidding nations may also sway other members to vote for them but any monetary transactions are prohibited (vCash)
- Each member nation is allowed one vote which can not be changed once cast - non-member votes are nullified
- In case of a tie - the WCC retains the right to select any bid without any explanation or reason
- The vote will run for a total of 72 hours - once closed, the bid with the most votes will win
- Nations that don't cast a vote before the deadline will simply forfeit their vote for the tournament
- Winning majority is 16 votes - any bid receiving the winning majority will end the voting immediately
