Colombo ease past Jaffna Super Kings as the visitors suffer fourth straight loss after winning three-on-the-trot.
Put in to bat first, Jaffna were powered by a sublime knock from Kane Williamson, who anchored the innings with a majestic 138 off 122 balls, laced with 16 boundaries and 2 sixes. Despite regular wickets at the other end, Williamson's calm presence helped Jaffna post 282/7. Lahiru Madushanka's unbeaten 40 provided vital support in the death overs. For Colombo, leg-spinner Jeffrey Vandersay stood out with 3 wickets, while Pathirana and Bracewell chipped in.
Colombo suffered an early jolt as Travis Head fell cheaply, but Nipun Dhananjaya led the chase with a composed 99 from 111 deliveries. He stitched key partnerships, especially with KL Rahul and Rathnayake, before falling agonizingly short of a century. The chase was then expertly finished by Michael Bracewell (56*) and Dhananjaya de Silva (35*), whose unbeaten 79-run stand sealed the deal.
