The Ashes (Australia tour of England)

I think it's also a slow pitch. Doesn't seem as though batting is easy on it. The run rate must be very low.

The Ashes (Australia tour of England)

It's irritating as it effectively rewards the fielding team for being poor, although England were after a replacement yesterday too.

The Ashes (Australia tour of England)

122-1. This is a bit like what the Australians did to England from 1993 - 2005. That is until England lose a wicket and collapse to 150-5 or 6.

The Ashes (Australia tour of England)

The Ashes (Australia tour of England)

He was awful at Lords v Ireland. Out of form and has a habit of wasting reviews on plum LBWs. Australia's plan should simlly be to bowl to hit the wicket if he plays.

    England Team Discussion

Unfortunately we haven't got a stable opener since he left. Burns looks short of form, if not lacking a touch of class for test match play. Roy got some runs vs Ireland but I can see Aus exploiting his footwork.
