Another vote for Ashes 17 as the best in the series. I returned to that after the farce of C22. Ashes 17 just needs some more community content to update the teams and kits to 2022/3.

I appreciate the candour from BA. I think we have long suspected the organisation doesn't have the resources to produce a properly tested product, hence the constant patching and dissatisfaction expressed here. What particularly annoys is that good aspects of previous games or iterations ( AI...

The problem with the straight drive is that it is so easy it can account for 90 per cent of your scoring, making the game totally unrealistic. Boundaries become so easy even on Hard. I can't believe they haven't addressed this. Guess I'll stick with Cricket 19 then.

Is the overpowered straight drive fixed in this patch? Can bowlers take wickets caught and bowled? These were the biggest issues for me...

The southern / northern hemisphere division itself is messed up. Start a county championship in England and you'll often play the first overs of the first match in the dark. The whole game is so bugged it's unbelievable. I've uninstalled and am playing C19 and DB17. There needs to be a...

If they don't fix the basic issues I am going to run out of budget when BA release their next cricket title - and not buy it. I've abandoned C22 for the moment and am playing C19 and DB17.

It's been like that at several grounds since the game was released - reported on day one and still not corrected after all this time I'm back to playing DB17 and C19 - the multiple gameplay bugs, absurd fielding and overpowered shots make C22 unplayable.

With all the money in the IPL and all the amazing software development talent in India you would think someone will come up with a respectable cricket game soon. This BA series has gone backwards in terms of gameplay. C22 is still a turd after more patches than just about any piece of gaming...

I have come to the conclusion BA are trolling us with these games. Today my C22 profile has been corrupted... and ALL my team logo data from DB 17 has disappeared...

The graphics on this game are so poor it should run on a potato. Look at how great the graphics and physics are in The Show baseball game - it is smooth as silk on my standard PS4. That game is properly optimised. C22 isn't.

For me a major issue is the overpowered straight drives. In my last inning around 90 per cent of runs came this way and mostly from boundaries - it's utterly ridiculous and a real game breaker. And bizzarely the fielding team never put a man at long on or long off! In C19 ever straight drive...

The crazy edges have been there since Ashes Cricket - two more iterations and dozens of patches and it's still not fixed. It did seem to improve in a February patch, but recent patches have made it worse again. Similarly the "last ball four" bug has been there since DB 14 and is still there...

Ross really needs to get some training on how to manage customer complaints. He comes across as very sarcastic and unpleasant at times and I'm sure he's not.

I've been critical if this release but I've had some great fun with BA cricket games. I'm still enjoying DB17 - although it is not quite as sophisticated as 22, the final version of DB17 is a more finished product. The human animations just seem more realistic with batters playing real cricket...

First three wickets I take in a first class match are run outs due to stupid AI. Fielders stand watching ball. Fielders dive out of the way of the ball. Plus explosive edges go to boundary, ugly pull shot animations, sixth ball of an over hit for runs almost every time... How are all these...

In case anyone is interested I have uploaded 'Grace Road' (Leicester) and 'Leicester Road County Ground' (LCCC's outground at Hinckley). They are far from perfect but are passable given the limitations of the editor. The trees certainly look better now

Since the new patch I've found that the AI pace bowlers often consistently bowl very straight with limited movement off the seam or in the air. This makes it easy to score from straight drives - - and yet field placings rarely change even if I'm scoring 90 per cent of runs down straight on and...

After lots of patching DB17 was the masterpiece for me. I'd love to know what went wrong. Did key members of staff leave? Did BA deliberately decide to focus on a more arcade style of gameplay? After paying for all those official licenses, did BA run out of cash for game development and testing?

For me the most predictable form of AI run rate seems to occur when a batsman gets in. Batting becomes robotic. I wonder if better players than me who are taking wickets more regularly suffer from it less? That might explain some of the variation in experience?
