The ACC Champions League, simply known as the Asian Champions League, is an annual continental domestic cricket competition.
The Asian Cricket Council oversees and organizes the tournament, which top-division cricket franchises from across Asia contest.

It is among the most prestigious competitions in the world, played by the champions and runners-up of Asia's biggest leagues.

2024/25 Asian Champions League

The 2024/25 Asian Champions League will be the inaugural edition of the tournament, held in Sri Lanka from February 1 to 8, 2025.
It will feature the champions and runners-up of the Indian One-Day Championship, the Pepsi Cup, and the Emerald Cricket League.

Participants

The 2024/25 Asian Champions League will be contested by the national winners and runners-up of India, Pakistan, and hosts Sri Lanka.
Due to a tight window, it will be played two weeks after the 2024/25 Pepsi Cup and two weeks before the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.

Scheduled for February, the Asian Champions League will see six teams split into two groups of three, with the toppers advancing to the final.
The 2024 Indian One-Day Championship winners and runners-up were the first teams to qualify, following the conclusion of IODC in May.

The Sri Lankan national champions and runners-up qualified next, following the conclusion of the 2024 Emerald Cricket League in summer.
And the 2024/25 Pepsi Cup winners and runners-up were the last to qualify, making the cut-off two weeks before tournament start.

Venues

Sri Lanka Cricket confirmed two venues for the inaugural edition of the Asian Champions League scheduled for the first week of February.
Asgiriya Stadium in Kandy will host all matches from Group A and the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo will host all matches from Group B.

The 2024/25 Asian Champions League Final will be played at the Asgiriya Stadium, as it is the home ground of the Sri Lankan champions.

Rain

Rain of up to 3 inches will see matches played in full.
Rain of between 3 and 5 inches will see matches played over reduced overs.
Rain of over 5 inches will see a match abandoned.

Rain affected matches can be played should a fixture have a reserve day.

Spoiler: Pitch Types

Pitch Types

Damp/Sticky - Massively in favor of bowlers and an absolute nightmare to bat on.
Dusty - Plenty of turn on offer for spinners and a good place to bat for spin-savvy batsmen. Good pace bowlers are still likely to thrive.
Even - Provides an evenly balanced contest for all disciplines of the game.
Flat - A batsman-friendly pitch which provides little or no assistance to bowlers. Expect massive totals.
Green - A lot of movement on offer early on, making it ideal for fast bowlers. Batting becomes less difficult as the game goes on.
Hard - Ideal conditions for batting. Good deal of bounce on offer for fast bowlers as well. Could go either way.
Dry/Slow - Ideal for slow and spin bowlers as the name suggests. Sometimes quite difficult to bat on.
Poor - Uneven bounce and a huge amount of turn on offer for spinners. Expect a slow hard grind for very few runs.​

Teams can retain up to 7 overseas players in their final squad regardless of its size.
