The one thing why I just stuck with planet cricket and that differentiates planetcricket from the
others is the amount of genuine users here and the way the admins and mods are operating the whole thing..
I was frequently posting on planetcricket and one more site(don't want to mention the name, its one of the biggest forums just like planetcricket). I also joined some minor forums in various websites, they were OK, but the users were too less or it had users only from one particular country which I didn't prefer coz its always better when there is a wide range of people from different backgrounds taking part in a discussion..
I realized that on planetcricket, most responses seem genuine, and people respond as cricket fans
and they do not reply and debate to win a battle of egos and prove that they know every damn thing, its rather the love and passion towards the game which is clearly visible in the posts..
In that other website(where i frequently posted), guys would talk as if they are veteran cricketers
and would constantly troll if you do not agree with them(although I loved to trouble them
but
thats not what cricket forums are for, they are for some healthy debates and knowledge sharing)..
A lot of time I also experienced that if I disagree with any of the mods, there would be some random
people who would just jump in to criticize me and the guy who I m originally debating with
completely disappears and some random folk would start debating almost as if he were the one who was posting before(it clearly hinted towards something fishy, there were fake accounts operated by the mods themselves who would use them to keep certain threads alive and make the site look very
happening). It irritated the hell out of me because it was such a well known site and it was really
shallow as compared to what I had expected.
Such things do not exist at planetcricket.. users are real(in fact i had also taken the mobile number of one of the guys from this website who stays in my town to create a cricket game, but that didn't work out coz of my bz schedule),
The mods and admins are also doing an excellent job..
I think after all the time I have spent on various forums, I have really found planetcricket the
most real and the most genuine on the net..
I m not the owner of planetcricket but I would still thank each and every person related to
planetcricket. Not only the organizers of the websites, but also the people who take part in it.
This is a really awesome place for cricket lovers..
Would love to come back and start taking an active part in the discussions.
