I've noticed a recent rush of users adding in affiliate links in their signatures. An affiliate link is a url where you have a unique code and can earn benefits out of having people click it and sign up.
Such links are unacceptable, the ability to link in signatures is intended for two reasons, linking to threads on the forum or linking to personal websites/blogs; not for direct personal gain.
While for fun members can 'sell' their sig space to other members for vCash, you do not have such rights when it comes to doing so in relation to real world payments.
Currently I personally just edit the referral section of the url out of the sig, though if it is placed back, a formal warning or sig privileges being removed may result.
