This guy is brillent, he mastered Reverse-swing when it started and competed with the likes of Wasim, and Waqar. He was highly under-rated, and his career ended because of the media. Although he was one of the clean players. When he finshed his career, he trained Asif, and the Pace line up of the Under 19 team (Which explains the swing that the Pace bowlers have in common) He was more of a swing bowler then a Pace bowler (Compared to the other members of the Pakistan team at the time). He bowled around the 135 kph occasionally touching the 140 kph mark. He also heloed Pakistan win the 1992 world cup.

Who will he train next? And should he be Pakistan's Bowling coach?

Lets have 3 Bowling Coaches, I know PCB cant pay them all :p, but Wasim Akram,Waqar Younis, and Aaqib Javed.

Just a question, was Sarfraz Narwaz (I think that's right) the first to really initiate, understand and put into practice reverse swing?

Yes Sarfraz was the first one ot invent Reverse-swing, He showed it to Waqar and Wasim, who then prefected it.

Wrong!

Sarfraz did invent reverse swing, but he passed the art to Imran Khan who then thought it to Waseem,Waqar and Aquib Javed.

I agree.

If you ask Nawaz, he'll tell you Imran Khan stole it from him. :p

I agree that Aaqib Javed was slightly under rated. He had better figures than Wasim Akram in the WC 92 final, IIRC. But his problem was that he was good mostly against India. Its kind of like Younis Khan. He also performs mostly against India, which is why he is so under rated. If Javed had a really good average against everyone and not just India, he would've been considered a great. Same goes with Younis, he needs to start performing against other countries as well.

Aaqib Javed was a very good bowler, he should have played more test and odi matches, I thought he was another Waqur, he was under rated.

Anwar Ali also said Aaqib Javed tought him some bowling skills.

Yea i agree Javed was under rated he was over shadowed by the great W's, Imran Khan and Mustaq Ahmed. He wasn't as naturally talented as the W's but he was an intelligent bowler and i guess this is why now he is a successful coach.

He took 182 wickets @ 31.43 with a strike rate of 44.03 in ODI's. His test career never really took off and i guess this is one reason why he is a forgotten property.
