Just started a new game the other night. Started unemployed, on a huge database. Got the job of St Albans in the Conference south. :cheers

Think , I'll give that a go. I was gonna start a new game anyway

Try and get the job of St Albans, or at best Weymouth. St Albans are a challenge but have a team of under paid players so the wage bill is low.

I have got quite bored of it lately, it was cracking and i loved it till a few months back where it just bores the socks off me

I dont mind net games though, they keep me interested in them for ages

I know what you mean yorkshire. I was the same, loved it when it first came out! played for weeks! but now its just a bit repetitive :p

Before I start a new game, anyone know of where to get a recent update for the database?

Wow, would you guys reccomend the 2005 version or the 2006 (release date) does it have an online option. I'm still (was) soldering on with Championship Manager 4....

Check the dugout, they have a few different updates to choose from. Ie squad updates, picture updates etc.:)

Go for 2005 for the time being. 2006 wont be released untill late november.

I quit a month ago...waiting for FM 06 now

I've once played a season starting off unemployed too...I got the job at Rushden, got them into the Champions league(:)), then I was off to Man United where I had to save those idiots from relegation!

If there's one thing I hate about the game, its how unrealistic the cpu can be sometimes...some transfers are just plain ridiculous..

And has anyone noticed that either Manchester United or AC Milan always get relegated after 10 seasons or so?

Well the AI in sports managing games aren't always the brightest.... if you have ever played F1 Manger you will definitely know what I mean.
