How many of you are going back to c2004? Well today I thought much about it and I'm going back to c2004. I have strong reasons for this conclusion-
C2004 has
*real,really real weather effects
*more shots selection than c2005
*more stadiums than c2005 (and they are not small as c2005)
*it is more enjoyable than c2005

yes u may be rignt with some not all reasons though but play them with patches from boss, tutsi, bats of Burma Finest, and graphics of saurabh and aussie 1St and i tell u they will be hell of a game well that is my point of view

I think 2005 was an improvement on 2004 actually...mind you, an empty CD case with a hand-written EASports Cricket 2005 on the front would have been an improvement LOL.

I think cricket 2004 waz better even though i haven't played it much...But the graphics of cric 2005 are better...:cheers

I play c2k4 99% and c2k5 1% of the time. C2k4 just feels better and looks better for me. I enjoy Boss's v5 patch and also use Tutsi's.

i began to play Cricket2004.. and it was so good with all the patches and MORE stadiums :) .. but now im back with BLIC..

C2k4 gameplay is much better than C2K5, after both with AI patches.

Ramz,
BLIC cannot compare with C2K4 or even the poor C2K5. BLIC last release is not for gamers who wants a realistic cricket game play. I think their market was for the non-cricketers who loves arcade game styles and just needed another game to play.

common guys give us a break. Its not been even a year or hardly 7 to 8 months i really think it is too early to make predictions and comparisons.Give the gr8 guys a little bit of time and i bet u will wonder at the outcome

EA... great? They're a good company but they would be so much better if they employed people to listen to users and work on their feedback. If we had their programming skill a much better game would be released with the ability to be easily edited by users to add brand bats, kits, individual country tv overlays etc.

I don't want to turn this into yet another BLIC vs Cricket 2004/2005 thread, but Ashnal, have you even played BLIC?

You say that it is an arcade game, but I thibk you are very much mistaken. OK, it looks more cartoonish, but that is because they had to draw the faces rather than use photographs like EA due to licensing issues.

The gameplay is absolutely spot on. With Cricket 2004 I never ever used to play ODIs because there was just no excitement in it at all. In BLIC the ODIs are amazing, as they feel so energetic and full of life. Cricket 2005 is slow and boring. Not a si mulation at all. What bowler in real life do you see running in slowly, jumping, floating in the air for a while, etc, etc.

I think you should play BLIC for an extended time if you haven't already.
