I just wondered how you go about getting good scores in limited over games?
I mostly get bowled long deliveries and cant hit them hard enough to reach the boundry. You can't hit anything over the fielders until you have high confidence which takes a while if your just defending or hitting shots to fielders. :(

keep practicing and practicing its not too hard to play as u r thinking. shots r easily playable if u once know how to play it.

play in easy mode and promote slowly to normal and final destination is hard mode!!!! Even with more practice, u can get easily more n more runs in hard mode also!!!!

Love the cricket u play and play!!!! don't always go for boundaries and fix a strategy to play and then play!!! for eg: I once played a world cup match and was 140/2 in 30 overs (was picking singles and played defensively) and ended with 342/9....(played aggersive at the end)!!!!
decide the strategy and play to get better results!!!!

Thanks for the replies.
I did think about patches but then thats just making the game easier which feels a bit like cheating. I guess I could start playing on EASY and work my way up. Think its on hard at the moment.

The problem with starting on EASY level is that bowling becomes too easy. I still struggle with ODI's and have played this game since July 2005. On EASY level I can get about 250 but usually bowl the other side out for a bout 40! On HARD, I cant get more than about 130 but can sometimes get the oppo. out for less.

I'm not keen on ODI with Cricket2005, much prefer tests.
