Batting on 360 console

Just want to check something out with other 360 users. Since patch 3, I reckon that the aggressive (left and right trigger) and lofted (left trigger) batting strokes are harder to play/are less effective. Thoughts please.

Yes I have noticed this I have cracked some nice sixes from the area of third man down to deep extra cover. I am really struggling to hit a six down the ground I tried the other day and it looped in the air and was caught.

Pre patch it was much easier but it’s a nice challenge to have.

It's a bit worrying for me. I don't mind playing the normal or regular attacking shots (ie, not using modifier triggers/bumpers) to score runs, but when I get to the point in the innings where I should be pushing on with the run rate, I can't seem to play any six hit shots....and the 'aggressive' shot (depressing both triggers for me) doesn't appear all that different to the regular attacking shot. I'm not going to win many games by the looks of it!

I rarely the use both triggers. With just using the analogues it feels much more natural when you execute a stroke.

I will try to capitalise on anything on the pads. When driving I try to be watchful and time the ball with the right length but you get some really amazing edges so I try to be as patient as possible.

When you play online you have a skilled player so you tend to worry less about edges. That’s the really hard part when you are controlling a 16 year old with no skill. The timing when going for the big shots has to be bang on.

One thing I think that works in the favour of the batsman on career is the other team doesn’t look like its bowling to a plan. So there is always plenty of gaps to exploit. The other thing is hitting more aggressive shots square is doable now and cutting the ball.

So it’s a real game changer some favourite scoring zones have changed.

First class I rarely try going for the aggressive shots. Maybe when I reach 30-40 I will swing the bat a bit more.

With limited overs no triggers and I will use the L2 for the big shots. I like to try going for a run a ball and it’s a real chance to let loose.

The pro 40 and T20’s will be a real challenge with this new update. Think I will be heading back to the pavilion more than I will be raising the bat.

Once you get used to it, it's fine and you'll be back to clearing the boundary in no time. The initial adjustment on PC was the same, didn't take too long to get used to it and the risk/reward is better IMO
