Protean Captain Hashim Amla, Kicked Off this tournament in a great style by scoring a century in the first match of this tournament. South Africa team face the strongest team of the tournament with the likes of Sachin,Sehwag,Zaheer in the playing squad. Every one new to this type of free form of cricket was unaware of the consequences and hence it was really a try match for all. Sachin said before the match that all players needed atleast one practice match before the main tournament begins and was unhappy to get none. 80 ball is what they had in their hands and Indian bowling with the likes of Zaheer & Mithun could not get Amla out earlier. Amla scored a 42 ball 124 that set the platform. Now the innings had to be steered on with still 38 balls remaining. Mark Boucher did play a 13 ball 30 run inning but proteans collapsed to mere 181 after that awesome start by Amla. Abhimanyu Mithun took 3 wickets for 71 runs in 29 balls. Sehwag took 1 wicket for 21 & Zak took 1/89 in 32 balls.

Indian Lionifish now needed 182 in 80 balls.

Brilliant is what we witnessed today. Indian innings started pretty OK with Tendulkar hitting 13 ball 19 which is although slow as a start in this format. Then came the keeper, Dinesh Kartick who hit brilliant 16 ball 41 to get back the team on track with the run rate. But it was Sehwag who continued the proceeding for India after Dinesh departed. He as usual scored 28 ball 55 but then came the Pollock storm who took 3 wickets from his 9 deliveries bowled. First he got rid of Sehwag by cleaning his stumps up & then dismissing the bowlers cheaply. Zak showed some resistance but that was not enough & the strongest team in the tournament was dismissed for 129 in 73 balls.

South Africa win by 52 runs & Man Of The Match was awarded to Hashim Amla & South Africa had their first point on board.

Team|Played|Won|Lost|Tied|Points
South African Catfish|1|1|0|0|2
Indian Lionifish|1|0|1|0|0
Australian Sharks|0|0|0|0|0
West Indian Jellyfish|0|0|0|0|0
England Octopus|0|0|0|0|0
Srilankan Alligator|0|0|0|0|0

Nice simple presentation, Tendulkar will play a big innings in next match for sure
