What's the best hattrick you've ever seen taken? Anywhere.

I'd have to say the one I saw from Ifran Pathan against Pakistan in 2005. Three of the best balls you'll ever see.

The first one just tailed away from the left-hander at the last second and was taken low by the 1st slipper. Salman Butt, whose made Test-Centuries against Australia & England

Younis Khan then went to a peech of a delievery. One which was going across the right-hander but then swung back in at the last second and was played across the line of it and was trapped lbw.

Mohammad Yousuf then went first-ball to one that was pitched a little shorter then the last one and it nipped back to take the top of middle-stump.

What's yours?

Ok im going against the rules of the thread here because im slightly unsure weather or not this lad got a hattrick in it.

But i was watching the Under 19's ICC World Cup Final, Ali Anwar comes into bowl, and im not sure if he did take a hattrick but it was the best swinging session is amazing, i have a link if Andrew and the other mods will let me post, but im unsure about that.

Ok 3 wickets in 4 legitimate balls :p near enough

i dunno...i kinda liked the one McGrath got...i can't remember much of it so i wont make to many comments on it

Matthew Hoggard against The Windies at Barbados in 2004.

Three dot balls to Sarwan to start the over but 4th ball swung away from him and he edged a low catch to gully. Then in comes Chanderpaul who is lbw to another vicious Hoggard inswinger which is taking middle and off. When watching this live I knew that he'd take the hat-trick because I thought to myself, we've already had amazing feats such asThorpe's hundred and Harmison's 7/12 so Hoggard surely must get this hat-trick? Sure as sure can be, Hoggard got the edge of Hinds and the catch was taken by Flintoff at slip triggering huge celebrations from the Barmy Army and it was a heart-warming moment for workhorse Hoggard to finally be able to wallow in the limelight.

I like Irfan's too, and JimmyA's was pretty nice, but I hear Wasim had one of the best. 3 LBWs I think. I have to see that...

Although I didn't see it live, I have seen Dominic Cork's hat-trick against the Windies in 1995 and it was brilliant too. On debut as well iirc.

You WON your rivals?
I've heard of playing for keeps, but that's ridiculous!

:p

I'd have to go with Glenn McGraths hat trick. Hat trick which included getting Brian Lara as his 300th victim.

Anyone remember Anthony Stuart's hat trick? Has to be the only guy to never play another game after taking a hat trick.
