Jayasuriya is widely acknowledged as one of the all-time ODI greats. His Sri Lankan team ushered in a new style of aggressive batting which would ultimately lead to Twenty20 when they won the World Cup in 1996.
An explosive and lethal batman as well as a more-than-useful bowler Jayasuriya may be past his best but still has much to offer to the team that signs him.
