bowling help

hey guys just needed some help with bowling ....you know that blue/green circullar thing for where the ball pitches .....can you actually control? coz sometimes it goes wandering off by itself .....if you can, how? (i tried with the arrows but it never stays to where you want it) .....and also, whats a good bowling line because im getting hammered nearly every ball .....let me know plz .....thanks
