My team with Battrick is called the Essex Knights and in this thread I will be posting a few match reports, fixtures and news about it. I called it this because my favourite county is obviously Essex and I live in Norwich, which has a medieval past, which had knights at that time. They play at The Common, which is the home ground of my local club.

Schedule

14th July: v Corn CC at Corn CG (OD League)
16th July: v Dalton Town at The Common (Friendly)
21st July: v Shiznit Cc at The Common (OD League)
28th July: v Dorset CC at The Common (OD League)
4th August: v Stabsters at Stabsters CG (OD League)

Essex Knights have made a ?77,697 bid for Phillip Vincent of Crosshill Crusaders. They are trying to strengthen their bowling attack ahead of the OD League game against Shiznit Cc next Friday.

good luck! Good to see another battrick team!
Thanks. I had one before but it got removed because of inactivity.

It would be nice to have a logo made for me too! (hint hint)

I apologise for not giving you an earlier update, I had to go straight to a cricket match after school yesterday so I didn't have time to set my laptop up!

Unfortunately Essex Knights were beaten by Corn CC yesterday. The Knights won the toss and elected to bat, but a dismal total of 65 all out (12 extras!) made the result predictable. Corn CC smashed their way to 70/0 to end the game in style. That's the last time I tell them to take it easy!!

In other news, the Speed Blitz Blues left it late to snap up Knights transfer target Phillip Vincent. Another one slips the net.

Tomorrow's match against Dalton Town at The Common will be overlooked by construction work as expansion ordered last Sunday is still ongoing. Without delays, the work will be completed on Monday and The Common will have a capacity of 10,000.

I may use Lee Mccoist for the friendly tomorrow. I brought him up from the academy and looks a promising all-rounder, well at least he will be when I've finished with him!

A high scoring friendly match at The Common today.

Result
Dalton Town 383-3 (Reid 164 not out) (Themba 2-57)
Essex Knights 306 all out (Brennan 81) (Kelly 5-53)

An improvement on the 65 all out, definetely!

I was going to say the same, I remember Lee having heaps of teams.
