I know I tried it before but this time IT WILL WORK!!!!!

After finding out that David Graveney and Duncan Fletcher had been making massive fraudulent claims on the ECB, English Cricket has been in limbo.
The details of who's job it is to build English Cricket up in time to travel to Oz to beat them in their own back yard on the 2006-2007 tour has been keep unbelievably well under wraps until the ECB press conference on November 1:

David Collier- I have always felt that a Supremo Manager in charge of all aspects of the England team would work. I just feel that Raymond Illingworth was the wrong man at the wrong time.

So, I can now introduce the New England Manager?

Peter Trego (Middlesex)

Plus 2 spaces yet to be announced.

I will now open up the floor for press questions.

The Sun: What does your role of Manager actually involve?
STEVE MOORE- Well, I will pick the squad individually and pick my captain with it, then, with my captain decided on the starting XI. However, I have casting vote over contentious issues. Basically, I am a manager in the Football Manager style. If the team where to fail I would get it in the neck!

New Management Structure In English Cricket
David Collier announced yesterday that English Cricket would operate a Supremo system for the first time since Raymond Illingworth.......

THE SUN
Wadding Through Trego
New Supremo has named wide-boy Peter Trego in his ODI squad to face Pakistan. The Former Under-19 International is Famous for his bad attitude that has seen him released by Somerset & Kent and then rejected by Worcestershire. His name appeared along with other shock selections, Alex Louden (ODI) Shaun Udal, Monty Paneser (Test) & Liam Plunkett (both)

Question to the Supremo: There has been some eyebrows raised over the selection of Ian Bell. Do you think that he would be able to come out of his batting crisis? As far as the numbers say, he has performed only against Bangladesh!

Ian Bell has proven to be a great young Natural Talent and so far I see it that rather than only scoring against Bangladesh, he has scored against everyone except Australia, who have obviously exposed his weaknesses. This is a learning point. Bell can learn from this and make him stronger. We will not discard him like the poor regimes of the 90's did with many players with their natural ability. We will give Ian a fair crack of the whip.

Your Questions can be aired at any time
