Till now i thought yes but after the some incidents recently it shows the coach shows much of his superiority and may end/ struggle that players career.

I care there are some who don't understand it :D

Captains role in team selection, the players he wants to take with him in 15/? men squad.

more clear ?:)

The board of selectors picks the squad, the captain picks the XI. That's how it works, that's how it should work. The captain should be able to advise the board of selectors on players he'd like, but ultimately it's up to the selectors to pick the squad. The captain then picks the XI that he takes out onto the field.

Lol it's not always the captains fault. What can he do if the players aren't playing well.

I meant to say that if the captain selects a team not entirely in agreement with the selection panel, then they hold him accountable and sack him.

It's different for each country, Australia gives the captain very little say in the selection table. Ponting has no power over who is picked in his 11, as I'm sure he didn't want White for the India Test series which showed by the lack of faith in his bowling. Also Ponting wanted experience for our test opener but again the selectors went against him by picking Hughes. Of course he does get a say, see Symonds in the 03 World Cup as a prime example.

Well sometimes you get captains who are stupid like KP and you get captains who just want their mates. (possibly the same thing)

Personally I say you allow every member of the barmy army who holds a British passport to vote online. It's like big brother but cricket. That way the fans can never complain about selections as well and it will keep the bills down. 1 IT technician or 4 England selectors?

Noone should have absolute say in the matter. As has been said, if it's just down to the captain, he can pick his mates. He does not have to be an impartial judge. The only way to get reliable impartiality is by consensus. The input of the coach and captain should be important, but it should not be overwhelming.

Why would a captain of a country pick his mates if they are not the right men for the job? He would be looking to create the best possible team to make himself look as good as possible in front of the coach and/or other selectors (ie the ones who can put him out of his job).

You're missing the point. No one sets out to make bad decisions, but bad decisions still happen.

The captain's viewpoint needs to be taken when picking the 15. There's no point sending someone along for the ride that doesn't have the captain's confidence since he will essentially be a specialized waterboy.

Not always been the case though. I'm pretty sure Waugh had a say in the selection of his sides. Ok he didn't control it, but he had input. That has to be the way to go, there is no point in Selectors picking players that the Captain doesn't want, the Captain should be interagral in selection although that does not mean he should get it his own way all the time. But he needs to be involved in selection as he has to take the can when in all goes pear shaped. Afterall who else is better placed to have a say on who should have a place in the squad, the penguins?
