Career Player Question RPIC/BLIC

In the manual on page 25 it says this

Kitting Out your Career Player

Once you have set your player skills you go to the Kit Bag screen. You can then set what cricket kit manufacturer you wish your career player to use. Selecting a manufacturer will set the basic kit the player will use, but you can also select a specific bat. Changing the wiehgt of the bat will effect certain elements of your batting style (eg heavy bat will increase your power raiting but reduice your timing) After selecting your bat and weight, select the type of sunscreen the player will wear on those blazing summer days.

Anyway how do you choose the bat and weight? Caus i do the ricky ponting bat and thers no option to choose weight? Also do you get to choose pads and gloves caus it doesnt let me do that or does the kit auto go with the bat caus it says selecting a manufacturer will give you the basic kit but you can choose a specific bat. How do they choose the rest of the kit?

Ive often wondered that, but im pretty sure that if you choose a certain type of bat, be it Ricky Pontings, you will get the same make of pads and gloves, and the wieght thing, i havnt a clue with, im guessing each bat has its own characteristics so some proform better than others, im not sure. So basically as i can see it, if you choose a Karrabooku bat(Hope thats spelt right, never was very good) you will supposidly get the pads and the gloves to match, i dunno, i might just be talking a load of rubbish as usual but that is how i understand career players and thier kit.....

Hmm. This is confusing, because the bat name is under "Bat weight". Also, when I was loking at the text in a hex editor, at the end of the bat names "lbs & oz" were there, maybe codies just forgot about it?

Nah, it just says Lbs and Oz. Pretty confusing :confused:

Yeah, I remember seeing that. It was obviously an unimplemented feature.

do you know how to improve the lofted shots becasue my career player is on full batting abilities on every slider but has only 50 for lofted shots?
also in the manual it says that
"specialist skills are allocated to your career player once you reach a certain number of stats points in certain disciplines/skills. Improve your player to see what these are..." however i have not come across any of these and my career player is as i say as good as he can be at batting. Has nayone come across these?
