Colour of the bowling dot?

Ive looked in the manual and done a search on this site and cant work out what the colour of the bowling dot on the pitch means.

Is it something thats completly random?

At first I thought it had to do with the speed, but ive seen quick balls with the green dot and slow balls with the red dot so that theory went out the window.

Surely there is some logic to the colour of it?

Anyone know?

It affects how much time the batsman has to time the ball. The better the length the smaller the timing zone.
