Has anybody managed to make a patch that will mean that the human player can build confidence by leaving balls and blocking them, like the CPU bastmen can?

Also, for playing test matches, which exes and AI Patches are reccomended? I want batting to be a challenge, but don't want to feel as though I edge the ball randomly, becuase that isn't fair or realistic!

Sam's ExE w/Cursor Hiding, and Radaga's v3.1 patch if you are really good, or if you are quite good Ravi's v8 patch (I think it's harder than v9)

For batting it may be a bit easy, not for bowling though. The CPU batsmen play pretty well using v9. I am not sure what your experience has been.

For me, it has worked very well. I do not find batting that easy particularly after having been able to remove the wides. While bowling, the CPU always scores very well, unless I bowl all yorker length deliveries.

I found batting harder with v8, you could try both though, just keep a backup copy of the cricket_pc.gob

To change the players confidence level, open up the config editor and go to which ever match type you want to change it in (i.e. ODI Hard) then edit the value called: BallsFacedLevel.

Make it lower for your confidence to go up faster or higher to make it go up slower.

is it also able to change cpu's confidence meter speed...it goes up too fast for them usually

yep, go into the same thing but change the value called CPUBallsFaced, make it lower for CPu's confidence to go up faster and higher to make it o up slower.

One thing that annoys me is that if you've got the confidence meter filled up and you leave wide balls, the confidence goes down.

if you dont offer a shot it doesn't go down.

but only do that for really wide balls, just incase it cuts back in or something

To expand needs to be so much harder for the lower end or poor batters to get it up therefore making the game more realistic.

I tend to score better with lower order as if I have had a shocker with openers I calm it down and select alot better shots.

In reality the lower end have crap to select from.
