Hi,

Im wondering does anyone know how to reduce the amount of six hit shots the cpu players play in test matches. Normally once they are fully settled they start to play the six shots and normally get out. Ive tried increasing cpuballsfaced, CpuTacticsDefend but doesnt make any difference. Ive tried increasing and decreasing cpurequest but again doesnt make any difference.

Does anyone have any ideas? It should be once a batsmen is settled then its very difficult to get them out but I find once they are settled its only a matter of time before they throw their wicket away.

any help would be much appreciated.
thanks.

Friend i too dont know need to tweak the AI , any doubts refer to

boss AI tutorial, or else ask patch experts like boss, tutsipoppy, Ravi they r

the ones who can tell u easily.

Suggetion from me though is to get them out by setting defensive field, they wiil hit u but every shot wont go for sixes.

thats my view friend, sorry i cant help u

which patch r u using ?..... i knw in my patches it doesn't happen....maybe very very often.

since there r no pacing files for test matches are there are several values whose combination makes the pacing for the cpu.

Hi Tom!,

The parameters that will make CPU play more aggressively after sets a bit in Test matches are

CpuBallsFaced, CpuTacticsDefend, CpuBattingMatchType, CpuRandom, CpuBatsmanType, CpuBatsmanType2, CpuRequest, and CpuReward!,

For more details have a look at my ConfigTutorialThread!, all these parameters were well explained!

Hope this will help!

Hi thanks for the replies, I have been using your guide but from your experience what values are best to reduce the aggressivness of cpu batsmen when they are set, normally once they reach about 30 they will start being aggressive with very few defensive shots being played, I know if they are aggressive batsmen they should be more aggressive but its still to much as its very rare for a cpu batsmen to make a hundred because they generally throw there wicket away before then.

These are the values I have currently for the below:

CpuBallsFaced 9.9
CpuTacticsDefend 12.2
CpuBattingMatchType 4.0
CpuRandom 4.0
CpuBatsmanType 22.0
CpuBatsmanType2 0.06
CpuRequest 0.9
CpuReward 21.0

I have tried lowering the cpubatsmentype/2 from the default values but I couldnt really notice any difference. Any thoughts on this?
