Cricket 2004 Problem: Players disappear

I seem to be experiencing a real weird bug. When I hit a ball (not for a boundary) all but one fielder seem to disappear from the pitch and radar. The only one that remains is the fielder that is actualling doing the fielding. Sometimes this fielder will also disappear after throwing the ball and the games then hangs. Other times he doesn't disappear and game continues. This happens quite frequently, so much that i have never completed a 10 over a side game. This only happens in ODIs. Is anybody else experiencing this problem and is there a solution to it? Thanks in advance.

The only advice that i can offer you is to get a new Video Card, or update your video card drivers

yep i experienced this too... my solution to this is to remove all the running applications before starting the game (except explorer) - u know CTRL+ALT+DEL... the best way to solve problems - at least in 98...

slade dont just give a try give it a hard work my computer was so old i had to buy a new computer to play cricket 2004 and i start working in free market i worked my butt off to play this game and you want to just give it a try yeah guys because i didnt not want to waste my dads or my moms money for just a cricket game so i worked my butt off to a certain degree

Anyway the problem is now sorted out (touch wood). Following the advice of ajit, i d/l the new version of Direct X and the problem seems to have gone away. Unfortunatly i am sh*t at ODIs after playing tests for so long and i just got beaten by kenya playing as india in a 10 over game.
